I really can't see any good reason to say that ebay is bad for the hobby except if I were a dealer<g>!! Seriously though, ebay and it MASSIVE audience has probably ferreted out some really good chips from sock drawers over the years that I'm happy to see hit the marketplace for collectors to add to their collections. The point about the "privacy" of sales in the past is a good one. How else can a potential buyer decide if "the price is right" when previous sales of a chip are kept secret.....price AND number of times the chip has been sold! Getting chips out to the collectors is the number one reason I'd say ebay has been good for the hobby. If we add a few new members to the club because of it.......that's a bonus!!
