A good word forPayPal

I have no financial interest in PayPal, and I am too busy to start using it (although I signed up and have a $10 credit there
for signing up) or studying it thoroughly.

Here is their home page if you want to study them. I think it will become a very big and useful thing:
https://secure.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=index

Among the pluses are these:

* they seem to have very reputable/sizable backers/sponsors

* it looks quick, easy, fast

* it is free; i.e., no credit card company fees to either buyer or seller (if they use the float of a few days of my money, so
what)

* one thing I particularly like is that ONLY THEY have my credit card number. That is, the multitude of buyers and
sellers on eBay, who are strangers to me, don't get to see my credit card number, only PayPal has it. Some of the posters
on this thread are worried about this large organization having their credit card number, but wouldn't, apparently, be
worried about many small gas stations, merchants, restaurants, etc. having it! And they are not insured or government regulated.

* finally, I don't have the time to study it fully, but when I registered with them, I didn't give them any bank account information. The post above spoke of their ability to access bank accounts. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that only relates to those who sign up and don't have credit cards or don't want to reveal credit cards and choose the bank account approach.

Food for thought,

Robert
