I agree with Bob. Mostly home use; friend has a beautiful set; around the turn of the century. Seymour [Antique Gambling Chips, p. 20] notes that celluloid chips were sold under the brand name, Catalin. It was apparently difficult to engrave or emboss designs and I've not seen a design other than initials, tho they may be out there. However, Dale has found one catalog in which a manufacturer has advertized that it would engrave the chips and fill them with paint. Catalin chip sets sell for very high 3 figures in eastern markets.
