I'd have to agree with you on this. The BOA chips (1 thru 5) were always fairly common with the exception of the FIRST 2.50. I always attributed this to Bob Mera when his shop was in Ocean One as he had first crack with Caesars/BOA right across the boardwalk!!
These 20's and other high denoms. were always scarce and rare...until NOW!!
I'm hoping MY purchase last year doesn't fall to the Horseshoe arrowdie levels of Vegas!!
If these chips are still in the vault at Caesars, how are they getting out with all the so-called "TOUGH" NJ Regs. on obsolete chips? Don't they have to be accounted for on occasion?? If some are found missing, isn't it reported to NJ Gaming?? Since BOA "technically" doesn't exist anymore, why were all their chips not DESTROYED as has always been touted as a NJ Regulation??
We have LOTS of AC Chapter members that work in the industry in AC and I'd sure be interested in just how many OTHER casinos have the OLD, OBSOLETE chips in their 'banks' in the vault!!! I guess if that info got out, we'd really "bottom-out" the prices on this stuff.........
