From the current issue of Las Vegas Advisor, here are a couple of interesting items:
A new "Let It RideŽ" tournament is scheduled for the Station Casinos in June. Local collectors should be alert for the availability of new "Let It RideŽ" tournament chips. The last time this multi-casino tournament was run, there were chips marked Ballys and Four Queens. As I understand it, qualifying will be at all Station Casinos in LV, with the tournament itself at Sunset Station.
Arizona Charlie's has changed their slot card program (Charliecard) to allow points to be use dfor purchases at Meadows Mall, FAO Schwarz in the Forum Shops, and Service Merchandise Stores. This should significantly improve the value of the program. 12,500 points will get you a $25 voucher.
By the way, if you're a video poker player, Arizona Charlie's has some very good full payout double bonus machines to help you with your card points. One of these cooperated for me by hitting a royal flush after the Superbowl chip show; paid for the trip, and quite a few chips to boot <g>. Be sure to get one of the pocket cards sold by Las Vegas Advisor if you're not already an expert at this difficult machine strategy.
