Tunica Trip Report

Finally got my feet back on the ground after spending a long weekend in Tunica. Not a whole lot to report on major changes at any of the casinos but a few interesting tidbits. Before we got there I picked up three Illegal club chips, two of which I have never seen. See the story below. We stayed at the Grand in the new Terrace hotel which is as nice as expected. In fact when I made my reservations the reservationist told me that for $4 more per night they had a special deal. Turned out to be a great deal! For $49 on Thursday and $59 on Friday they gave me $20 cash and $40 in food coupons! Only hang up was trying to get a reservation for Saturday. A casino host finally set me up in the original Grand Hotel which is fantastic - a mini suite for $149 which beat having to go home a day early (every hotel was sold out for Saturday). Hit three sevens on a special BJ game for $500 Saturday night so went home a winner again. Even got to see the Temptations rock after 40 years. So much for me, now how about the chips. I visited every casino in the area and picked up duplicates of what I could including the millenium chips. The Lady Luck - Coahoma(and Natchez) were taken over by Isle of Capri last Tuesday and several people said that they would be changing their chips. I managed to pick up a Lady Luck Natchez 100 NCV that is not in Greg's book. I think that it is not a current chip but I am not certain. See story below. Hollywood casino has reissued the $2.50 chips and created a variation. See story below. Sheraton is now issuing Caesars players cards and the Grand has new cards and room keys. I did not see any new roulette chips anywhere. That's it for now. Sorry for being so long winded.
