The scan below shows a flip that held two $5 chips for about eight months. Obviously, if all of the color isn't staying in the chip, the plastic is leeching some of it out and will discolor the chip over a longer period of time.

If the plastic used in the pages of your chip carriers don't do this, I'll take a dozen.
