When my oldest was born almost 30 years ago, I was young and foolish and wanted a son (our first child). When I learned that Jennifer was not a son, I was disappointed for about 15 seconds, until I saw her. Our youngest is 10 and a carbon copy; the special joy type... smart, polite and athletic. My son,
who is now 28 and of whom I am very proud, gave me a lot of gray hair when he was a teenager.
