Re comps for video poker
In Response To: COMPs from video poker ()

At .25 video poker you are putting in 1.25 per hand (you'd better not NOT be playing max coin in!) you can play about 10 hands a minute ...600 hands an hour
...at $1.25 per hand that is about $750 per hour through the machine. If they have a 2% advantage (you'd better not NOT be playing a less than full pay
machine!) - you have to figure you're making mistakes (have you played a computer simulator that tracks your errors?)...anyways, that's about $15 per
hour that they keep. If you play dollar vp they love you - they keep about $60 per hour and you're running about$3000 through the machine every hour.

Comps are usually based on 40% of your expected loss...think of that as average loss...they don't care if you get 5 royals today...the longer you play the closer your results will come to the 'expected value'They'll comp about 40% of that expected loss back to you.

Just the tip of the iceberg here. If you want info on chips read this board. If you want knowledgeable info on gambling go to www.bj21.com
