Glad to see the suggestions on Las Vegas restaurants. I hope you locals will continue to point we tourists in the right direction as we get closer to the convention. My tentative plan is to arrive in Las Vegas on Monday. Since my wife wants to see Siegfred & Roy plus "O" I'm thinking of staying at the Golden Nugget downtown since staying at any Mirage property gives you priority at getting tickets to their shows. (And the GN is way cheaper than the other Mirage hotels.) Then I figure on Wednesday to move to the Tropicana for the convention. Any thoughts from the locals on the board? Only drawback I can see is probably have to pop for fairly expensive cab rides to get to the strip.
