Rubber Cement Thinner (can buy in a stationery store) and solvent thinner (hardware store) are good for removing sticky
rubbery adhesives like Scotch tape. You put it on. Immediately it creates what looks like a big stain on the paper or item. The adhesive dissolves right away.
The "stain" evaporates very quickly, and the object looks just like before, but minus the tape. Works great.
