I just spoke to Alan's lovely wife, Alice, who informed me that Alan had very sucessful surgery & is resting comfortably at home. Before & after pictures to follow once he is feeling a bit better & the narcotics wear off. Alice said that those who know Alan will never recognize him! Way to go Alan & a speedy recovery.
