ANHEUSER BUSCH CHIP ATTRIBUTED-Paul A Von Gontard

As many of you know, I've been searching high and
low to find out who Paul A. Von Gontard was....as
it's his name who is on the die-cut metal inlay chip
with the Anheuser Busch logo seen below. Club
member Jim Noll mailed me a list of names to check
out, but I found nothing after sending letters along
with numerous phone calls. Thanks, Jim.

Anyway, I decided to list one of the chips on eBay,
but not unders casino...but under AB, along with an
inquiry. BINGO! Someone just sent me the following
e-mail:

"John, I do not know who Paul is but in my book '100
Years of Anheuser Busch' it mentions a man named
Adalbert Von Gontard. Paul was probably his son.
Adalbert was the grandson of Adalhus Busch. In the
book it mentions that Adalbert in the 1930s and 40s
was head of engineering and then went into the sales
division, and then was in charge of ALL sales
divisions."

I thought this was very nicee of this person to take
the time to inform me of what he knew.
