Thanks for the lesson in chip taxonomy, Robert. It really helps to get these categories clear, both in discussing them with others and in organizing your own collection.

I had not seen the inlaid chips with cursive script on them till Steve Goodrich showed me some at the last chip show. I got this NJP chip from him. We discussed that maybe these were samples of a style of chip that could have been made but that never caught on, as neither of us had ever seen one attributed to a club. Wonder how many different monograms in this style are out there?
