Michael; Short answer is that they would be considered as separate nominations. Logic is that there are several issues that have dual denominations, and are assigned different catalog numbers as separate issues. Case in point is Claridge in Atlantic City and Tropicana and Four Queens in Vegas. One collector may like a particular design better against the red background of a $5 chip vs. a blue background on a $10 chip and vice-versa... or a red nickel chip background vs. a qreen quarter chip as with the Vegas examples.

A similar but not identical situation arise with respect to the so-called "porn" series from Riviera. The series may not be place in nomination with four other nominees, but individual chips in the series may be nominated as long as the total number of chips nominated by one individual does not exceed five chips total.
