I am selling these chips now for $5 each, individually. And $4.00 each, wholesale, for groups of 10 or more. Mint condition. Profits to the CCGTCC.

This is the continuation of my adventure with these chips of the 1984 Summer (Olympics) Games held in Los Angeles, Calif. The reverse side says “Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world.” See pictures below. I am told they were issued by the Convention Bureau in Las Vegas and were given to junketeers flying between LV and LA. Pictures of each side below. They were definitely issued in 1984.

This is the story:

1. Someone mentioned the eBay auction of a box of 100 of these chips, adding that he didn’t want to buy them all, but hoped a board member would and sell him a chip.

2. I like poker chips, especially advertising ones, so I said on the BB I’d bid on the box and give the profits to the Club.

3. I won the box for about $165.

4. I advertised them on this board and elsewhere -- for $10 each. To my surprise only a few people wrote for them. Not even the sport who first mentioned them on this board (see (1) above) wrote for one! Maybe the price was too high. Anyway, I decided to lower the price, and sent two chips to each person who sent me $10.

5. Seeing that I’d never live long enough to sell all of them at $10 each , I have decided to:
(a) offer them here for $5 each (with a two-stamp self-addressed envelope); and
(b) $4.00 each (I’ll pay postage) for groups of 10 or more.
