Where did this Coin Dealer get....

their information regarding Nevada Silver Strikes(SPT's)?

Shown here is a $10.00 silver winners token. The only way you can get one (besides buying it from us or some other dealer) is to win it from one of the big gambling casinos and this is not an inexpensive trip.

I have a good friend who is an executive at one of the major casinos at Lake Tahoe. He says the Nevada Gaming Commission stays right on the number of limited additions of these jackpot winning coins. He also told me that on the average it requires about $200.00 of play to win one (if you are lucky).

In the last five years most of the Nevada hotels and casinos have been giving winners of jackpots a new type of $10.00 prize. These prizes are $10.00 limited edition tokens made of .999 fine silver with a gold plated outer rim.

They are quite beautiful in overall appearance. Many are encased to be protected and collected, others are not encased. You can take these winner tokens to other clubs and use them like cash.

The clubs discontinue these limited edition coin after a short time and produce a new limited edition. By doing this they have started a new group of collectors. Some of the older winner tokens can be worth up to $60.00 or $70.00. At this time no one has produced a price guide or a list of the clubs issuing these $10.00 winners tokens or what quantities were minted. We have been purchasing these silver winning tokens from local winners since they started and are now putting them online for the first time.

WOW, Is this dealer way off base with this description.

Giving these tokens to winners of Jackpots? Gold Plated outer rims? Many are encased?(All $10 SPT's are) Take one casino's tokens to another casino to be used as cash? Clubs "discontinue"?(Retire?)

NO ONE HAS PRODUCED A PRICE GUIDE OR LIST OF CLUBS ISSUING THESE $10.00 WINNERS?

Take a look at their listing of silver strikes for sale! They've put numbers with the "limited edition" remarks. I seriously doubt if any of these number are realistic. In fact, I would believe that most can be multiplied many times over to get their real issue numbers.

P.S. THEY ALSO SELL SOME CHIPS!

I just might be able to drop by their store on Saturday.... I hope.
