... Rich (see Gene's correction to one of my other posts). You're absolutely right. The probability is 1 in 2048 that either particular alignment will occur 11 times in a row. But, since there are two alternatives, the probability is 1 in 1024 that one or the other of the two will occur 11 times in a row. The probability is still sufficiently remote that it seems unlikely that there are reversed inserts for this chip. ----- jim o\-S
