Hey Greg,

A similar tid-bit, by holding down the 'Control' key while rotating the wheel on the wheel mouse while in the 'Full' version of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (i.e. Office 95 or 97) will change the view percentage - effectively zooming in or out.
I haven't tried the works versions of these to see what effect if any the 'Control' key and wheel mouse have on them as I don't have access to them.
May be if someone has these they can let us know!
