I am not at home either so don't access to data base or books.
I think Nev changed to NV about the time zip codes came out.
This question was posed a few months ago by Jimbo. I don't think anyone really answered the question.
There is no reason why I could not put Nev on a chip today. Nv is just the accepted form today.
Gaming regs only says a chip must have the state on it, does not tell you how to spell it.
