I'm not familiar with "herend" but I am familiar with "Hummels". Most Hummels are priced in the three figures, not because of rarity, because that is the original cost. A retail $250 piece wholesales for $125. Good chance of getting the piece for $165 or so. Piece is currently produced. Rarity is not an issue. I have an "Auf Wiedersehen" with hat, now that is RARE. BTW, I'll trade Hummels for chips.
