Seems like everyone I write gives me a good response regarding silver strikes except our one past experienced seller. <G>

Here's a message I sent recently and its response.

Hi,

You've probably already receive similar information from Silver Strike Casino token collectors.

Cruise ship tokens that bear the inscription

".999 SILVER HSP"

are not repeat NOT ".999 pure silver solid tokens".

HSP = "HEAVY SILVER PLATE"

These token are in reality a bi metallic coin. The outer ring is a solid brass ring(highly polished and not gold plated as they may look) with a center(non silver) metal insert that has been "silver plated".

One that has been assayed generated the following result.

A $10.00 Hollywood Cruise ship HSP token was assayed. To insure accuracy
because only trace amounts of silver were expected, four samples were done and all results were within acceptable limits of each other.

This token, was of two piece construction. The outer ring weighed 12.077 DWT and contained no silver. The center insert weighed 13.110 DWT and contained less than 1% silver by weight or .0065 Oz Troy. At the current spot price of silver this token is worth less than $0.04.

There are also Cruise ship tokens that are inscribed ".999 Fine Silver" which are a token with a Brass outer ring and a pure silver insert which weighs just over 1/2 troy ounce.

Just though you might like more information regarding the Silver Strike tokens you have.
