Re: Belgian Plaque but nice flag

No Greg,
Here in Belgium the casino do NOT bring out Limited Editions not even
special edition, like for the new year 2000 now.
There are not many collectors in Belgium and the casinos are not
interested to make special chips/jetons.
That series from Dinant was a regular series made by B&G in October
1987 , each denomination 100 pieces.
The owner of the casinos went bankrupt and some sets where saved
from the oven. (obsolete casino pieces are normaly burned in the
incinerator (sorry for type errors) under supervision of the tax
guy ,IRS in the US ?)
200.000 = about 5.000$
100.000 = abour 2.500$
50.000 = about 1.250$
25.000 = about 625$
The maximum plaques used in Belgium are 500.000 and 1.000.000 but they
are VERY VERY limited (only a few of each)
I am hoping and working hard to get some when the in 01 Jan 2002
the EURO will replace the BEF (Belgian franc) and ALL the casinos
will change their chip/jeton/plaques to EURO.
They have already placed their orders with the manufactures.
Kind regards
Bob
