Re: Nugget $500 brass core---
In Response To: Nugget $500 brass core ()

I spoke to the Nugget at length and their redemption period will not begin until the first of the year and after the 120 days are up, they will file the necessary inventory and plan for destruction of all the brass in the vault. At this time more than 20 of these $500 are not accounted for and probably many more. One of the quirks of some Asian gamblers is distrust of banks, and currencies so many take chips home with them. I can recall many of the Asian serving card rooms in Northern Calif. missing $5000 chips in surprising numbers and find audits with $500 to $5000 chips appallingly short of chips (but they love the cash) and even had to re-order the $5000 octagonal one Chinese New Years. The brass are beautiful and it looks like this is the last phase out of a historical mold that economics and pretty picture chips have caused their demise........All issues will be bi-metal and made by Chipco.
