Re: How about "Very OLD"
In Response To: Re: How about "Very OLD" ()

A heck of a lot of small card rooms in California use chips that sure seem "old" to me. Not only old, but worn, dirty, some chipped, some in which the denominations cannot even be read. But just because they are old, doesn't make them more valuable. In my opinion, just the opposite is true. I wouldn't give anyone over a dollar for any California chip in conditions just mentioned if they were not currently in use. I know this is contrary to what most chippers would do, but for me, I wouldn't even want one for my personal collection. Of course I feel the same way about illegals or non-attributible locations for chips in the same condition ( which I know many people drool over.)

Whatever. We each have our own hangups. Keep well everyone, and be thankful we have the choice to do as we wish.
