Notes from Madrid, Spain & scan of chips

Just returned from Madrid, Spain.......A few observations are that the sun comes up at 9 am.......I'm used to 6:30 am in California.....The Plaza de Colon is where the bus leaves for the Casino Madrid, three or four times an evening. Madrid is a beautiful, city with magestic buildings and statues and the city is loaded with Christmas decorations........

The Gran Casino Madrid is a beauty, must have passport to enter, FREE first time. One room had blackjack and American roulette. Regular chips are used here. The second room is all French roulette with 5 tables going full bore at 1800 hours. Here they use jetons and plaques. The lowest denomination plaque is 50,000 pesetas (about $350.00 American). Jetons are in denominations of 100, 200, 500 and 1000 pesetas. The American style chips are nice, see the scan..

It was the first time I had seen a French roulette table going full blast......except for the Paris in Las Vegas.........
