Some of those chips may have "walked" with early-arriving Comdex conventioneers, prior to pulling them from the tables. However, those chips may go home with them and not re-enter the chip collector market anytime soon. Who knows, someone may discover one of those chips 40 years from now when cleaning out a sock drawer, only to find out that it is more valuable than other LE's of the same era.
