Scarce "Speed Dice" mold chips -$1 each;

Hello All,

I just acquired a nice supply of these interesting (and I always thought rather scarce) whirling dice mold chips and am making 20 or so of them available to the BB viewers. (Incidentally, can anyone ID either chip shown?)

I am offering the yellow one (both sides are shown) to whoever sends me $1 and a SASE envelope -- only one per person up to 20. They look old and in good condition..............Is this mold or a version of it used today?..................I have always been intrigued by the mold. (I try to collect one of every mold design, using Borland's list.) It is Borland’s mold #46 (he called it “Dice with Comet’s Tail). Herz and TCR call it mold #54 (DISWRL) (whirling dice, I guess). The mold was also known in the trade as “Speed Dice.” I am told the mold was used/owned by the Portland Card Co. and Midwest Game Supply Co.

I had a hard time getting a chip of this mold. I got mine by buying one of the Binion’s Horseshoe, Las Vegas, chips. TCR book says only 6 times this mold was ever used in a Nevada design of chips, perhaps all from Binion’s. The cheapest Binion’s chip with the mold is valued “H” -- $30-$39. per TCR.
