Sticker Dollars-Rich Hanover pls. read

Rich:

Re: Your post of yesterday & your eBay purchase of the Silver Dollars w/ the stickers on them. Congratulations! You made a good purchase. Stickers have been placed on coins since the early part of this century to create advertising or commerative coins. You have what is known as a "Sticker Dollar". The book "Tokens & Medals: A Guide to the Identification and Values of United States Exonumia" (1992 Alpert & Elman) places the value at $15-$25 each. It is my experience as a collector of many different types of exonumia, including casino chips, that the values in this book are out of date. I would estimate the example you have w/ the complete sticker would go for about $35 at auction. If you would like a scan of the page of the book about sticker dollars let me know.
