Archie ----- I agree with your interpretation of what constitutes an "error" chip. Unless and until they put out a correction, it's the "only" and (whatever errors it might contain) need not be differentiated as an "error" chip (of which IMO there can only be one if there is an un"error" chip from which it needs to be differentiated).

There are many examples of mistakes on other collectibles (stamps, coins, trading cards) which were not corrected. Hence, no special value because of the mistake. Now, if they were to withdraw whatever Dempsey chips haven't been picked up by collectors already and reissue a corrected version, then we'd have a real "error" chip with (depending on the number) some premium value.
