If Mel's browser won't work with frames just send him to:

http://www.chequers.com/cqmain.htm

That avoids the frame problem and should let him navigate around until he accidentally hits a button that takes him to www.chequers.com. When he does that, he could just hit his bookmark for the link above and he'll be ready to cruise the site again.
