Gene, I'll be heading back up to Black Hawk Saturday (3rd week in a row, 220 miles round trip), but I'll be buying chips without the lucite case. Allen might be right. If this isn't against gaming regulations (I think it is being they're selling the sets from the cage instead of from a separate entity like a sublet gift shop), they may well be sitting on some of them this time next year.
....what can they be thinking? $31 face value in a lucite case....maybe $6 that they actually paid for the chips (a high estimate), and give them a high end estimate on the manufacture and mounting of the chips into the lucite case at, oh, $25. $31 is break even at inflated cost estimates. I don't get it, and there's no way that I'll buy it at any price at the cage over face.
This is ridiculous!
